# RustSys > RustSys is a high-performance Verilog/SystemVerilog synthesizer written in Rust, with a CLI built for engineers and agents. It maps RTL and a Liberty cell library to gate-level Verilog and structured reports. RustSys 0.1.0 is a source preview, not a crates.io release. This is a navigation aid for agents, not a command protocol or an API guarantee. The canonical site URL is configured as https://lab-emi.github.io/RustSys/; deployment status must be checked separately. Web paths below are relative to that site root. Source paths are relative to the repository root. ## Start and automate - [Installation](guide/installation/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/installation.md)) - [First synthesis and proof](guide/quickstart/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/quickstart.md)) - [Agent and CI workflow](guide/agents/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/agents.md)) - [Commands, exit statuses, and workspace revisions](reference/cli/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/reference/cli.md)) - [JSON reports and recorded artifacts](reference/reports/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/reference/reports.md)) - [Language support and diagnostics](reference/language-support/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/reference/language-support.md)) ## Evaluate evidence - [Equivalence workflow and budgets](guide/checking/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/checking.md)) - [Proof scope and status](verification/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/verification/index.md)) - [RustSys in the RustEDA whole-flow Ibex benchmark](guide/benchmarks/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/benchmarks.md)) - [CPU performance, actual utilization, and quality preservation](guide/performance/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/guide/performance.md)) - [Historical synthesis-only evidence archives](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/tree/main/verification/benchmarks/open-hardware/results/) - [Invalidated historical proofs](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/verification/benchmarks/open-hardware/results/proof-invalidations.json) ## Integration rules - Use `rustsys --help` and `rusteda --help` from the installed build to confirm available commands. - Keep standard output results separate from standard error diagnostics. - Distinguish synthesis success, check equivalence, and undecided/budget-limited results. - Use explicit file paths, proof budgets, thread counts, and workspace revision guards where applicable. - Do not add reset/input assumptions to an arbitrary-initial-state proof without changing and reporting its scope. - Benchmark timings, proof time, memory, and mapping quality are separate measurements. - Do not infer placement/routing, signoff timing, DRC, or universal language support from synthesis results. ## Extend the project - [Architecture](architecture/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/architecture/index.md)) - [Normative specifications](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/tree/main/docs/specs/) - [Contributing](contributing/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/contributing.md)) - [Documentation maintenance](about/maintaining-docs/) ([source](https://github.com/lab-emi/RustSys/blob/main/docs/about/maintaining-docs.md)) All substantive guides are plain Markdown in the same repository. No separate agent service or generated SDK is required to read this index or run the CLI.
